To flourish, you need to be healthy and happy
Whatever our residents’ issues – be they emotional, physical or mental – we’re here to help
We do this in many ways, including investing in services, homes and technology and providing practical advice and support.
We bring people together and equip them with new skills to improve mental health and develop resilience. And we address issues such as food poverty and improving physical health.
Challenges come in all shapes and sizes. The pandemic and ongoing cost-of-living crisis have added to the pressures on many of our residents. This has caused anxiety, isolation and has seriously affected people’s ability to work and connect with others.
At Peabody, we don’t address these issues individually. We approach them holistically, working with residents on personalised approaches to learning new skills, gaining qualifications or finding new opportunities.
Ensuring people get all the help they can is key to living happy and fulfilled lives. Financial difficulties can have a serious impact on a person’s life and often negatively affect their wellbeing. We help residents access proper advice and show them who they need to speak to right away.
It’s a well-known fact that exercise makes you feel better. So we do everything we can to help our residents get moving. This ranges from exercise and movement classes to more accessible parks and green spaces. So everyone can make the most of the great outdoors.
We’re all-too-aware of the impact anxiety and isolation can have on how a person chooses to live their life. So we’re doing our best to support anyone who’s struggling with their mental health. This includes working with partners, including the NHS, to ensure everyone gets precise, professional and sensitive care.
